Volter Kilpi in Kustavi – Literature Week
The Volter Kilpi in Kustavi Literary Week is a five-day cultural event held annually in July in Kustavi.
This multidisciplinary festival features a diverse program, including high-quality theater performances, free public lectures on literature and culture, and various local side events. Some performances take place outdoors in natural settings.
The theme for the 2025 event is *In Light and Shadow*. Literary discussions often focus on the stars and legends basking in the spotlight—but what remains outside the beam? The program, curated by artistic director Elina Kilkku, offers a fascinating blend of old and new, exploring both the illuminated and the overlooked.
